Job responsibilities
Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and execute national business strategy for NFO / OBC services aligned with global direction.
- Identify and capture new business opportunities, especially in high-value sectors.
Operations Management
Oversee the end-to-end execution of NFO and OBC shipments, from booking to final delivery.Ensure rapid flight selection, courier dispatch, customs clearance, and delivery coordination.Monitor daily performance, proactively manage disruptions (e.g., flight delays, customs issues).Optimize operational SOPs for speed, quality, and compliance.Team Leadership
Build and lead a high-performing NFO / OBC team, including operations, dispatch, customer service, and account support.Implement 24 / 7 shift planning to ensure round-the-clock availability.Train and coach staff on time-sensitive logistics processes and crisis response.Customer & Key Account Management
Maintain strong relationships with high-value clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.Support pre-sales with technical solutions, pricing strategies, and urgent logistics planning.Handle escalated service issues, provide real-time solutions for mission-critical shipments.Vendor & Airline Relations
Manage relationships with airlines, ground handlers, courier providers, and customs brokers.Negotiate rates and SLAs to ensure cost-effective and reliable services.Maintain a pool of standby couriers (OBCs) with valid visas and availability for short-notice missions.Finance & Compliance
Own the P&L for the time-critical logistics business within the country.Monitor and control operational costs while maintaining high service levels.Ensure compliance with local and international regulations (e.g., IATA, export / import laws, security protocols).Cross-functional & Global Alignment
Report regularly to regional or global HQ on operational KPIs, business development, and risk management.Collaborate with global dispatch centers.Represent the country in global time-critical business meetings and projects.Job Requirement
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).Minimum 8 years of experience in the freight forwarding / logistics industry , with at least 5 years in a senior management or country leadership role .Strong understanding of air, sea, and land freight operations, customs regulations, and international shipping processes.Proven track record in business development and P&L management.Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Strong analytical ability with sound decision-making and strategic thinking skills.Strong communication skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
