Job Description and responsibilities are focused on credit analysis, monitoring, and supporting Group Treasury’s investment activities in accordance with desk mandates and risk management policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessment on bond / sukuk issuers and the underlying risks and mitigations; make recommendations for new and / or existing fixed income securities.
- Perform Know-Your-Customer (KYC) checks on bond / sukuk issuers as per policy requirements before investment / credit proposals.
- Assess investment / credit proposals across varying sectors of the corporate bond market and provide timely reviews and recommendations for the relevant approving authorities.
- Assess and prepare ESG risk assessments for new and existing fixed income securities.
- Ensure compliance with key policies applicable to credit assessment on bond / sukuk issuers and internal / regulatory requirements at all times.
- Keep abreast of key economic indicators and market developments to provide fundamental investment opinions and relative value assessments for bond / sukuk issuers.
- Engage with bond / sukuk issuers, facility agents, trustees and lead arrangers on proposals, due diligence, and corporate exercises for fixed income investments.
- Identify problematic investments through monitoring credit quality and timely impairment assessment.
- Monitor issuers’ covenants and news to actively manage underlying credit and market risks.
- Ensure timely monitoring and reporting and participate in investor presentations, meetings and site visits as required.
- Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks and relief duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.Preferred : Professional qualification from Persatuan Pasaran Kewangan Malaysia / Certified Credit Executive.Minimum of 4 years direct experience in credit, or relevant experience in banking and financial services.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Interpersonal and communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.Effective presentation skills.Proactive and able to work independently.Seniority level
