Geriatric Psychiatrist

This is a full‑time on‑site role for a Geriatric Psychiatrist located in WP. Kuala Lumpur at Universiti Malaya Medical Centre. The Geriatric Psychiatrist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating mental health conditions in elderly patients, providing psychiatric care, and developing treatment plans. The psychiatrist will work closely with a multidisciplinary team and will conduct assessments, prescribe medications, and offer therapy to address psychological and neuropsychiatric conditions. Additionally, the role involves educating patients and their families about mental health conditions and collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Geriatric Psychiatry and Psychiatric Care
• Strong background in Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry
• Medical degree and relevant certifications
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Experience in geriatric medicine is a plus
• Commitment to continuing professional development
