Job Summary

As Senior Tax Specialist, this position is responsible to lead and work closely with Head of Tax to optimise the performance of the tax function, overall management of the direct tax compliance (including tax accounting and reporting) and advisory / planning of the Maxis Berhad Group of Companies and Maxis Communications Berhad (MCB) Group.

The position is expected to participate in Industry initiatives and lead / participate in cross functional initiatives, including lobbying the Government for tax incentives / concessions, participating in Government forums on behalf of the organisation. It includes handling taxation aspects of special projects such as M&A, tax incentives applications, transfer pricing management etc. The position is also expected to oversee and manage tax audits and appeals (whenever necessary) including liaison with tax authority and review of legal documents.
