Requirements

What We’re Looking For :

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Experience with financial system implementation or ERP migration is a significant advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian financial and tax regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage external vendors and complex projects.
  • Proficiency in English and Malay; Mandarin language skills will be a distinct advantage .
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, tech-savvy mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

About the Role :

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join our growing team. This is a pivotal role for a finance professional who is not only adept at core accounting functions but is also passionate about leveraging technology to drive efficiency and scalability. You will have the unique opportunity to shape our financial infrastructure in Malaysia by leading the implementation of a new finance system, ensuring a solid foundation for our regional expansion.

Key Responsibilities :

1) Financial System Implementation :

  • Lead the local implementation and configuration of a new financial accounting system.
  • Act as the primary liaison with software vendors and consultants, managing timelines, deliverables, and system setup to meet business requirements.
  • Champion the system integration, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to operations.
  • 2) Financial Management :

  • Oversee local bank accounts, manage daily cash flow, and prepare regular treasury reports to ensure optimal liquidity and financial health.
  • 3) Accounting Operations :

  • Handle end-to-end accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, expense reimbursements, and bank reconciliations. Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
  • 4) Cost & Asset Management :

  • Support the setup and execution of local production processes, ensuring accurate cost allocation.
  • Manage fixed assets and oversee periodic inventory audits.
  • 5) Reconciliation :

  • Conduct regular reconciliations with suppliers and customers.
  • 6) Tax Compliance :

  • Assist in tax computations, filings, and submissions to ensure full compliance with local tax regulations.
  • 7) Process Improvement :

  • Develop and implement robust financial processes and policies, leveraging the new system to automate and streamline operations, bridging local and headquarters financial management.
  • 8) Regional Expansion :

  • Play a pivotal role in supporting the financial management of sales operations across Southeast Asia.
