Senior Digital Hardware Design Engineer — In this role, you will design and develop advanced digital instrumentation for ATE, including circuit design, schematic development, PCB layout collaboration, hands-on debugging, and performance validation. You will contribute to system-level discussions and work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions that meet demanding specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Design and development of advanced digital instrumentation for Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
  • Apply understanding of digital instrumentation design concepts for test equipment; tester architecture experience is a strong plus.
  • Generate high-level functional block diagrams based on predefined instrument architectures.
  • Estimate circuit power consumption at the block diagram level and refine through detailed design.
  • Translate functional block diagrams into detailed circuit designs using Cadence Concept Schematic Capture.
  • Collaborate with CAD engineers to transition schematic designs into PCB layouts, leveraging Allegro.
  • Develop theory of operation documents, define circuit test strategies, and establish test setups and limits.
  • Perform bring-up, functional debugging, and characterization of digital circuits.
  • Validate circuit behavior and performance against specifications and product requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience : 5–10 years in digital hardware design; prior work in test equipment development is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of digital circuit design at both gate level and transistor level.
  • Ability to create and interpret hardware block diagrams and schematics.
  • Familiarity with engineering, manufacturing, and customer requirements.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Software, Firmware, and Mechanical Engineering.
  • Programming experience (C, C++, Python, LabVIEW, Verilog, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Proficiency with simulation tools such as Spice, Verilog simulators, and 3D field solvers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills with hands-on laboratory experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality designs on time.
  • Self-motivated, innovative, and passionate about technology development.
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written).
