Cardiology Sales Specialist
The Cardiology Sales Specialist is responsible for driving sales and business development for cardiology-related medical devices and capital equipment. This role requires strong clinical understanding, strategic sales planning, and excellent relationship management with healthcare professionals, procurement teams, and hospital decision-makers. The aim is to achieve revenue growth, expand market presence, and support end-to-end project implementation in the cardiology segment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute end-to-end cardiology project sales strategies, from initial client engagement, product presentation, solution proposal, tender participation, up to project completion.
- Drive direct sales for cardiology equipment (e.g., Angio, Echo, imaging systems) and recommend upgrades or replacements to improve hospital efficiency and clinical outcomes.
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as assigned by management.
- Build and expand professional networks within the healthcare industry, including cardiologists, radiologists, biomedical engineers, medical directors, procurement teams, and hospital administrators.
- Identify new business opportunities, upcoming projects, and tenders within the cardiology market.
- Act as a key liaison between internal teams (clinical support, engineering, admin) and external stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination throughout each project.
- Maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through regular engagement, follow-ups, and support.
- Independently engage with C-level executives and key decision-makers to influence product selection, project approvals, and partnership agreements.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations, presentations, and proposals tailored to client needs.
- Support the planning, scheduling, and delivery of equipment installations and training sessions, ensuring adherence to SOPs and customer expectations.
- Monitor competitor activities and share market intelligence with management to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Biomedical Science, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, or any healthcare-related field.Additional certifications in sales, clinical support, or medical device training are an added advantage.Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience in medical device capital equipment, preferably in cardiology-related products.Strong preference for candidates with experience in Angio, Echo, and cardiovascular imaging systems.Proven sales achievements in project-based environments and hospital settings.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.Strong market awareness and ability to identify new opportunities in the cardiology segment.High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer service orientation.Willingness to travel for client meetings, hospital visits, and project discussions.Seniority Level
