Overview
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Contract Manager to oversee contract administration and commercial management for high-rise building projects, primarily in the Electronica & Electrical (E&E) construction sector. The ideal candidate will have a Quantity Surveyor background, strong expertise in contract estimation and pre-tender processes, and at least 10 years of experience in contract management. Leadership capabilities and exposure to the full project cycle are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract & Commercial Management : Lead the preparation, review, and negotiation of contracts, subcontracts, and agreements. Ensure all contracts are compliant with legal, regulatory, and project requirements. Manage contract execution, variation orders, claims, and settlement of final accounts. Oversee cost estimation, tender submissions, and bid evaluations for M&E projects. Collaborate with project, design, and procurement teams to ensure accurate and competitive tendering. Analyze contract risks and propose mitigation strategies. Monitor project budgets, cost control, and cash flow forecasts throughout the project lifecycle. Provide commercial advice and support to project teams from inception to completion. Ensure timely reporting and accurate documentation of all contract-related matters.
Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities on contract and commercial matters. Support senior management in contract negotiations and strategic decision-making.Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.Minimum 10 years of experience in contract management, preferably in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works and high-rise building projects.Strong background in contract estimation, pre-tender processes, and commercial management.Proven leadership experience managing contract / quantity surveying teams.Full project cycle experience (from tender to project handover) is an added advantage.Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Strong knowledge of contract law, standard forms of contract (e.g., PAM, FIDIC, JKR), and industry practices will be an added advantage.Proficiency in contract management software, MS Excel, and other project-related tools.Seniority level
