Job summary
The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key client relationships, and leading the sales team to achieve sales targets. This role requires strong leadership, negotiation skills, and deep knowledge of the steel trading industry and market dynamics in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
Key responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Planning
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies aligned with company goals to expand market share and increase revenue.
- Identify new business opportunities, target markets, and potential clients in the steel trading sector.
Team Leadership and Development
Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to enhance sales capabilities.Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting customer relationships with key accounts and new clients.Understand client needs and provide tailored steel product solutions and services.Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close deals effectively.Sales Operations and Reporting
Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare regular sales reports for senior management.Collaborate with marketing, finance, and operations teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.Market Intelligence and Competitor Analysis
Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and threats.Provide insights and recommendations to management for strategic decision‑making.Business Development
Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to promote the company and expand the client base.Explore partnerships and alliances to enhance market presence.Qualifications and experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in steel trading, manufacturing, or related industries.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing sales teams.Strong knowledge of the steel industry, product specifications, and market dynamics in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to build and maintain client relationships and manage complex sales cycles.Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office applications.Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced startup environment.Job salary package and benefits
