Production Planning Control

Overview

Work Location : Selangor, Malaysia (Shah Alam and / or Puncak Alam). Responsibilities

Coordinate and plan the production schedule to ensure timely delivery of products while optimizing resources and minimizing costs. Develop and maintain production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, production capacity, delivery status and / or in-house manufacturing status from raw material, work-in-progress (WIP), semi goods to finished goods for production efficiency and effectiveness. Coordinate with various department i.e., sales, marketing, and operations teams to understand customer demand and incorporate it into the production plan. Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to prevent shortages or over stock. Work with procurement team to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and components needed for production. Collaborate with production supervisors to prioritize production orders and allocate resources effectively. Communicate production schedules, priorities, and changes to relevant stakeholders in a clear and timely manner. Resolve any production-related issues or delays that may arise during the manufacturing process. Continuously evaluate and refine production planning processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Follow up and check daily 4M availability / status to do adjustment and schedule changes (if necessary) in order to minimize production loss and downtime. Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior. Skill / Knowledge & Certification

Minimum of Diploma in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business Admin, Food Technology & Science or related field. Working Experience

At least 3 years of work experience in a manufacturing company, focusing on production planning, equipment management or similar position. Special Skill / knowledge

Being able to resolve problems efficiently. Proficiency in using production planning software and ERP systems (e.g., MPS & MRP). Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate complex information clearly. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make sound decisions. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
