Responsibilities
- Support for our key stakeholders in the most effective way to drive greater value for BP
- Drive an agile and innovative approach to supply market engagement; enable speed to market for the Digital & Talent categories
- Champion advanced and innovative category processes, techniques and strategies
- Collaborate with stakeholders, suppliers, sourcing and category leads to maximise value delivery and risk mitigation
- Drive category excellence through deploying standard methodologies, providing a consistent experience, utilise strong market intelligence and category expertise that delivers significant value for the business
- Lead the Supplier Management, Category Strategy Support, Category Intelligence and Category Enablement teams
- Ensure compliance to FBT Procurement controls and contract template structures
- Where appropriate, manage a team of category delivery experts, balancing workload, career development and mentorship
- Coach team members on developing category strategy, innovation, lessons learned and knowledge sharing
- Ensure alignment with category, sourcing and business teams
- Maintain a consistent and efficient process through the use of tools and systems
- Report team effectiveness through key metrics, including value delivery to the Senior Sourcing Manager – Digital, Talent & FBT Category
Essential Education
An undergraduate degree (ideally in procurement or business) or equivalent experienceMinimum 10 years professional experience in procurement and strategic category / sourcing positions requiredEssential Experience and Job Requirements
