Responsible for the process of MOCVD thin film epitaxy growth, ensure operability and achieve operational goals by sustaining and continuously improving the processes. Key KPIs include epitaxy layer performance, cost, yield, CpK, and other process-related KPIs. Full responsibility of the MOCVD thin film epitaxy growth process, including defining DoE within the process window, and implementing process control. Liaise with production, process integration and other functional teams to ensure smooth operation and meeting process KPIs. Work closely with the equipment team to perform troubleshooting of the epitaxy tool software and hardware, with application of in-situ measurement systems (Deflectometer / Real Temp). Drive continuous improvement in productivity including new material qualification and procedure simplification; cross-functional support with quality, hardware, and others. Able to work on local or global projects. Set up procedure, buy-off and qualification of new process / equipment together with equipment engineer. Ensure process meets required quality and standards; maintain / update process documentation, including work instructions, control plans, material specifications, FMEA, SPACE, etc., in accordance with ISO 14001 and IATF standards. Lead problem solving or troubleshooting — perform data mining with statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and use methodologies such as IS / IS-NOT, WHY-WHY for root-cause investigation. Implement effective preventive and corrective actions (poka-yoke, lean concepts). Understand material characterization (Surfscan, XRD, 4-point probe, SIMS, SEM / TEM, PL, etc.) and how it applies to epitaxy process outputs. Make necessary adjustments to growth machine recipes to maintain growth parameters within specified limits. Yield monitoring and improvement by performing and reporting failure analysis for all processes and equipment-related defects, using statistical tools, leading to process characterization and improved stability, throughput, quality and yields. Preferably a PhD / Master / Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering / Physics / Chemistry or related technical field. Experience in MOCVD; experience in sapphire-based epitaxy growth projects is required. Experience in semiconductor fab support, startup or manufacturing environment is an added advantage. Roles in process engineering. Able to lead problem solving and act as a coach for junior engineers. Able to work with cross-functional or global teams. Experience in semiconductor fab support is an advantage. Able to communicate and support cross-functional projects. Able to adapt to different working cultures. Benefits
