CSA Project Manager / Resident Civil & Structural Engineer (CSA) - Data Center
Resident Civil & Structural Engineer role to support major data centre construction projects. Work on-site, report to Lead Project Manager and client Construction Manager. Provide quality feedback, observe construction activities, maintain Procore system and deliver weekly reports.
Responsibilities
- Resident CSA Engineer reporting to Lead Project Manager; provide feedback to client Construction Manager.
- On-site assist construction manager on project construction in a timely manner.
- Conduct daily site walks to review progress, general quality of works, raise quality observations and provide updates to the project team.
- Review agreed Inspection and Test Plan; direct quality and design through the Construction Manager.
- Attend project meetings; set up ad-hoc meetings with contractor, design consultants and stakeholders.
- Attend concrete pours, formworks, rebar works, trenching, piling etc per Inspection Test Plans; report installation quality via Procore.
- Provide weekly site progress reports including metrics on mock-ups / benchmarks, RFIs, technical.
- Issue NCR to GC; follow up closure; highlight critical risks.
- Monitor GC construction activities; log weekly report.
- Verify as-built drawings and BIM model updates in Procore.
- Attend OAC weekly meetings; CMS rep must attend physically; other reps may attend virtual.
- Coordinate GC QC Plan; attend and provide input.
- Continuous management of Procore; verify information accuracy.
- Continuous review and tracking of submittal register.
- Assess GC means / methods for compliance with standards; notify client of deficiencies.
- Evaluate equipment and system protection; GC maintains client Minimum Standards.
- Evaluate final installed product; inspect and sign off before commissioning.
- Record defects / issue observations on Procore.
- Communicate safety observations daily; close issues.
- Participate in GC incident investigation; root cause established and control measures addressed.
- Attend GC safety committee meetings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field; or equivalent experience.Minimum 10 years of related experience.Ground-up Data Center construction / Commercial Real Estate experience.Experience assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity.Strong problem solving skills; perform with minimal supervision.Membership in relevant professional organizations is preferred.Knowledge of CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and MEP construction.Ability to develop good working relationships within different client cultures and across project teams.Working knowledge of Primavera 6 and SQL.Good with numbers, technology and web‑based data platforms.Advanced skills with spreadsheets, charts, and presentations.Must be a good communicator in English both verbal and written.Drive to be proactive and self‑motivated.Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.Additional Information
