Sales Engineer - Industrial Gases (ID : )
Generate new business opportunities by managing incoming enquiries, preparing cost analyses, and delivering compelling, competitive quotations.
Achieve personal sales targets and contribute to company goals through proactive client engagement and solution-oriented approaches.
Engage with customers and engineers to understand their specific needs, providing expert advice on equipment specifications and requirements.
Assist in gathering information on local and overseas industry policies, competitors, customers, and analyse market trends.
Generate high-quality leads, prepare quotes, follow up diligently, secure orders, negotiate prices, and ensure timely payment collection.
Work closely with sales teams to gather customer insights and develop comprehensive solutions that exceed expectations.
Collect and analyze customer feedback to inform new sales and marketing strategies, enhancing overall market approach.
Identify areas for enhancement in products or processes, communicating findings and potential solutions to management.
Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and manage their ongoing needs.
Prepare and present sales forecasts and performance reports for strategic planning.
Communicate customer requirements and agreed terms clearly to internal teams during project confirmation and kick-off.
Oversee timely collection of payments and recovery of overdue accounts, working closely with the Finance Department.
Complete other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior.
Job Requirements
Possess at least a Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales role within a manufacturing or industrial gas setting, preferably in industrial gas or a similar industry.
Ability to work under minimal supervision, analytical, and a good team player.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Result-oriented, possess a strong sense of responsibility, urgency and commitment to meet deadlines.
Proficiency in English, Malay, and Mandarin to effectively communicate with a diverse client base, including Chinese-speaking customers.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
Understanding of basic chemical, mechanical and ISO knowledge.
Willing to travel overseas independently.
