The Accounting & Tax Executive is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing tax filings, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. In addition, this role oversees the application, renewal, and tracking of all company permits and licenses to ensure smooth business operations and legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Financial Duties
- Maintain and update general ledger, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules.
- Assist in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, including invoicing, payment processing, and credit control.
- Support annual audit processes by providing necessary documentation and clarifications.
- Ensure timely recording of expenses and revenue according to accounting standards.
2. Taxation Duties
Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax submissions (e.g., SST, income tax, withholding tax, etc.) in compliance with local tax regulations.Liaise with tax authorities on tax-related matters, including queries, audits, or clarifications.Assist in tax computation, reconciliation, and supporting documentation.Keep updated on changes in tax laws and advise management on compliance and optimization opportunities.3. Permit & Licensing Responsibilities
Manage the application, renewal, and maintenance of all relevant business permits, licenses, and registrations (e.g., local authority licenses, trade permits, regulatory approvals).Liaise with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and third-party consultants to ensure timely processing of all applications.Maintain a calendar of permit and license renewal dates to prevent lapses or penalties.Prepare and compile all necessary documentation for submission to regulatory authorities.Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements related to business operations.4. Compliance & Administrative Support
Maintain organized records of financial documents, tax filings, and permit / licensing paperwork.Support management in compliance audits and reporting requirements.Assist in internal control improvements and process documentation.Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary data for financial or compliance purposes.Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and FinanceExperience : 1–3 years of experience in accounting, operations, or administrative support.Skills :Knowledge of accounting principles
