Overview
Technical Project Manager (TPM) in Molex’s Copper Solutions Business Unit leads a world-wide cross-functional team through the New Product Development process from Project Initiation Approval to Start of Production. You will lead cross-functional teams, work directly with customers, mentor team members, solve problems, and be accountable for project-level decisions. You have strong project management experience in technical environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple New Product Development projects for customer-specific and general market projects
- Ensure Molex key technology projects seamlessly support our customer’s project deliverables by closely collaborating with customers
- Develop internal & external Project Charters that clearly articulate project strategy, scope, financials, and schedule
- Manage Project Change Control and Decision Documentation
- Lead Project Plan development, management, up to closure phase (transfer to Production)
- Own and develop Macro Project Schedules and understand and hold accountable Functional Team Members supporting Micro Schedules
- Proactively identify, document, and execute risk reduction activities to minimize project risks associated with cost, quality, and / or timing that could affect project plan achievement
- Own project reporting communications to both Management and Customers
- Lead and mentor team members in project management principles, PDP processes, risk management, issue resolution, decision making, etc.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Proven working experience (3–5 years) in the field of Engineering or Manufacturing, with experience in managing projects in product developmentMinimum Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields (Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, etc.)Proven ability to lead multi-national teams in a matrixed organizationFluent English communication, strong interpersonal skills, confident in interacting with multiple levels of stakeholders including C-Suites, Customers, and cross-functional teamsFlexibility to work across time zones and travel up to 25%Self-motivated and adept in a remote collaboration environmentObtain PMP certification within the first year of employment (if not already certified)What Will Put You Ahead
