Absolute Security is looking for a Sales Engineer (SE) to provide technical pre-sales support as an expert solution within our fast-growing Greater Asia business. The SE is a highly technical sales professional who collaborates with Account Executives (AEs) and Channel Account Managers (CAM) to drive revenue growth within the region. The SE manages the technical sales process during discovery and validation, acts as a technical evangelist for our software platform, and represents the company with potential customers, partners, and at events.
You will quickly come up to speed on Absolute Secure Endpoint (Visibility, Control, Resilience) and Secure Access product offerings (Absolute VPN, Absolute ZTNA, Absolute Insights for Network). Your deep product knowledge, plus knowledge of security, networking, and operating systems, will help position our products and solve difficult technical problems during pre-sales presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations.
Location : remote with preference for candidates based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Travel within the region is expected to be 50-60% of the time.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with your AE and CAM to establish and execute sales strategy for your territory and key partners
- Deliver tailored technical sales presentations and demonstrations to prospective customers and partners
- Plan and execute PoV activities, including scoping, defining success criteria, designing the PoV environment, installing and configuring Absolute Secure Access and Secure Endpoint products, providing technical support, and executing the PoV per the agreed success criteria
- Gather feature requests and product ideas from sales engagements and work with leadership and product management to help shape the product roadmap
- Document ongoing sales cycles and PoVs in Salesforce.com in collaboration with your AE and CAM
- Collaborate with technical peers within Channel partners to uncover new sales opportunities
- Protect the security and privacy of Absolute and its customers
What You’ll Bring
Experience with complex technical sales cycles, including deep discovery and execution of Proof of Value evaluationsAbility to communicate technical concepts to IT, Network and Security managers, Line of Business owners, CIOs, and CISOsUnderstanding of data-in-transit security (TLS, IPsec, VPNs, PKI, certificates)Understanding of network services and systems, routing, LAN / WAN design; familiarity with firewall vendors and basic rule designUnderstanding of authentication methods and protocols (SAML, RADIUS)Understanding of endpoint or network security tools (AV, EDR, Incident Response, Forensics)Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems and network stacksAbility to troubleshoot complex network environments for evaluations on customer premises or with Absolute cloud-hosted productsFluent verbal and written communication in English and MandarinNice-to-have skills
Experience with selling methodologies such as Command of the Message and MEDDPICCExperience selling SASE, SSE, VPN, EDR, or other security toolsExperience with programming or scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash)Experience with Cloud IaaS vendors including networking and security service operationsSecurity (CISSP, GIAC, CompTIA Security+) or networking (CCNA, CompTIA Network+) certificationsExperience in IT or Security operationsFluent in Malay or CantoneseWhy Work For Us
