Your Job

As an Officer, Purchasing (Contract) you will be responsible for managing and executing purchasing activities in alignment with organizational policies and company goals. This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.

Our Team

You will be part of the Consumer & Commercial Solution Division at Molex Malaysia (MXL), working closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders including planning, production, delivery management, finance, warehouse & logistics, product managers, sourcing, project management, and quality teams. Externally, you will maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure seamless supply chain operations.

What You Will Do

Address and resolve purchasing issues such as delivery delays, quality concerns or disputes effectively, or policy breaches effectively and proactively.
Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
Work cross‑functionally with departments including planning, production, delivery, finance, warehouse & logistics, sourcing, project management, and quality to support demand forecasting, inventory planning, and timely delivery.
Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
Oversee the complete purchasing process from requisition and purchase orders through to delivery, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Foster strong working relationships and teamwork across departments and with external partners.
Collaborate closely with suppliers and quality assurance teams to identify and resolve quality issues effectively.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

SPM / STPM / Business Administration or relevant field.

2 to 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles.

Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively manage supplier relationships and internal collaboration.

Self‑driven and results‑oriented with a positive attitude and a clear focus on delivery, expediting, and cost management.

Proficient in procurement software and familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)

Knowledge of SAP procurement modules.
