KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Responsible for the implementation of construction work processes, project procedures, and instructions within assigned operations.
- Ensure subcontractors are working with the latest issued documents and drawings. Review IFC documents, resolve discrepancies, and raise technical queries for clarifications in coordination with the field engineering team.
- Coordinate with the Client representative to solve any potential or actual problems across disciplines at the project site and liaise with engineering and project teams for solutions.
- Participate in scoping sessions with subcontractors, with awareness of workface planning.
- Support Planning by analyzing and forecasting ongoing activities.
- Plan for the three-week look-ahead schedule to identify jobs and resources needed for timely completion.
- Review subcontractor deliverables such as fabrication / construction plans, procedures, and method statements to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Monitor construction productivity and implement PPC (Project Production Control), including daily progress monitoring.
- Oversee subcontractor activities to ensure safety, quality, productivity, schedule, and cost objectives are met, providing solutions to problems as needed.
- Participate in daily progress meetings, review daily progress, and address deviations from the plan.
- Order materials and schedule inspections as necessary.
- Participate in Go / NoGo meetings, ensuring checklists are completed and approved before critical activities.
- Ensure proper storage and preservation of equipment and materials before and after installation.
- Promote safety practices, participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and jobsite walks, maintaining detailed records.
- Prepare reports and forecasts related to construction progress and manpower.
- Support QinC initiatives by ensuring subcontractors build right first time, maintain ITR records, and comply with standards.
- Supervise the completion of punch lists, ensuring timely closure of all items.
- Provide feedback on lessons learned, constructability issues, and best practices.
- Assist in subcontractor quantity reporting and review of invoices and billing in accordance with BOM utilization.
- Serve as a coach and mentor for site supervisors, ensuring personnel are qualified and certified.
Knowledge & Qualifications :
Discipline Specific - HVAC :
Verify installation aligns with approved manufacturer procedures and project requirements.Ensure leak test limits and materials are included in IFC design drawings if required.Prepare detailed HVAC plans based on material delivery and resource mobilization.Ensure availability of HVAC components and certifications.Review HVAC IFC documents, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate with the engineering team.The above outlines key duties and responsibilities, not an exhaustive list.
