About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Deputy General Manager / Senior Manager to lead our 3PL Logistics Business Unit in Malaysia , covering Haulage, Cross-Border, and Warehouse operations . The ideal candidate will be skilled in data analytics, operational management, sales development, and fleet oversight , while ensuring compliance with local regulations and driving continuous improvement.
This role reports directly to Singapore HQ and plays a key part in bridging strategic objectives with day-to-day execution in Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily operations across haulage, cross-border transport, and warehouse activities .
- Drive productivity, efficiency, and service quality through process improvements and technology adoption.
- Implement and monitor KPIs to ensure operational excellence and cost efficiency.
Data Analytics & Performance Reporting
Consolidate and analyze operational and financial data to provide insights for decision-making.Present clear and actionable reports to Singapore HQ on performance, challenges, and opportunities.Use data to identify trends, optimize resources, and propose improvement strategies.Sales & Business Growth
Develop and execute sales strategies to expand customer base and revenue streams.Strengthen relationships with existing clients while exploring new opportunities in the logistics sector.Collaborate with the Singapore HQ on pricing, proposals, and new business initiatives .Fleet & Maintenance Management
Manage fleet operations, ensuring reliability and cost efficiency.Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and workshop activities.Ensure compliance with Puspakom and APAD requirements for all vehicles and operations.Safety & Compliance
Champion a strong safety culture across all logistics operations.Ensure compliance with local transportation, warehouse, and cross-border regulations .Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental practices .Drive Kaizen and business process improvement initiatives .Explore and implement digitalization opportunities to streamline logistics operations.Act as the bridge between Singapore HQ and Malaysia team to ensure alignment on strategy and execution.Requirements
Degree / Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline.At least 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in logistics (haulage, cross-border, and warehouse), with proven leadership in a senior role.Strong ability to analyze data and present findings effectively for strategic decisions.Experience in sales / business development within the logistics industry.In-depth knowledge of fleet management , including maintenance and regulatory compliance (Puspakom, APAD).Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Proactive, hands-on, and capable of managing multi-business operations.Seniority level
