Role Summary
Clinic Assistants support day-to-day clinic operations—welcoming patients, managing registration and billing, assisting doctors, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient care environment. The role blends customer service, basic clinical support, and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Front Desk & Service
- Greet patients, register / verify details, open / close patient files in the clinic system.
- Manage phone / WhatsApp enquiries, appointments, follow-ups, reminder messages, and referrals.
- Handle payments, issue receipts / invoices, reconcile daily cash / QR / e-wallet, and prepare end-of-day reports.
- Encourage and guide patients to leave Google Reviews and follow clinic social media.
Clinical Support (under doctor supervision)
Take and record vital signs (BP, HR, SpO₂, temp, weight, height, BMI).Prepare consultation rooms, chaperone procedures, and assist during minor treatments.Perform basic POCT (urine dipstick, glucose, pregnancy test), label and log samples for lab.Dress simple wounds, assist vaccinations (cold-chain handling, documentation).Ensure accurate documentation, obtain consent where required, and maintain patient confidentiality (PDPA).Pharmacy / Inventory
Dispense medications as prescribed (5 rights : right patient, drug, dose, route, time) and provide simple counselling.Manage stock (FEFO), check expiries, place orders, receive deliveries, and update inventory logs.Facility & Infection Control
Keep reception / consult / pharmacy / treatment areas clean and organized.Sterilize instruments (autoclave), manage clinical waste per MOH / DOE requirements.Perform daily opening / closing checklists and basic equipment checks (e.g., fridge temp logs).Operations & Quality
Follow SOPs, assist with audits, and flag incidents / near-misses.Support basic marketing tasks (e.g., posting health tips or promotions prepared by management).Assist in community / health programs when scheduled.Requirements
Education : SPM / STPM; Diploma in Nursing / Medical Assistant / Healthcare-related is an advantage.Experience : Prior clinic / hospital / front-desk experience preferred; fresh grads welcome—training provided.Skills :Customer service, communication (Bahasa Malaysia & English; basic Mandarin / Tamil is a plus).Computer-literate (clinic software, WhatsApp Business, Google Workspace, POS).Organized, fast learner, able to multitask in a busy environment.Job Type : Full-time
