Finance Manager (Malaysia / Vietnam based) – Glints, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
What You’ll Be Doing
You will be entrusted with an ongoing quest to deliver improvements in business performance of our business entities, through the regular delivery of precise financial data and smooth financial operations. In this role, you will :
- Deliver complete, quick, and accurate financial (sales / expense / cash flow, etc) data for financial analysis within the specified deadlines
- Perform month-end / quarter-end / year-end closings of all GL accounts, generate and maintain reliable, complete, and accurate relevant monthly / quarterly / yearly supporting schedules to financial reports
- Create and deliver accurate management accounts and relevant management reports before the deadline
Financial Process Improvement :
Improve the (1) finance operations and (2) reporting efficiencies through process automation, sourcing, and implementation of new reporting solutionsDevelop and maintain financial systems, processes, and controls that successfully meet statutory compliance requirementsEnsure accounting policies and procedures comply with legal and corporate guidelines and policiesRegulatory reporting :
Lead the reporting of taxes and social insurance to the governmentManage regular financial audit and annual filing with external partiesPrepare and submit VAT, FCT, PIT, CIT within the regulatory deadlinePrepare and file returns to the government for matters such as license renewalsManage all corporate secretarial filings and record keepingsLiaise with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and relevant government organizations relating to accounting and finance mattersBudget Control :
Make recommendations to drive improvements in cost efficiencyWho We Are Looking For
Minimum 5 years of experience as people manager in Accounting / FinanceChartered Accountant (preferred) or similar qualificationExperience in reporting financial performance to senior business leadersExperience in doing month-end closingGood understanding of local taxation (VAT, FCT, PIT, CIT)Experience in leading and managing a teamSelf-starter with strong analytical and problem solving skills with an eye for detailDemonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and with diverse groups of stakeholders across multiple time-zonesWho We Are
