Entry-Level AML Analyst (Mandarin Language)

Overview

Entry-Level AML Analyst (Mandarin Language) at AML RightSource — remote position (Kuala Lumpur region). This role supports clients (banks and non-bank institutions) in reviewing and analyzing activity to help fight financial crime and mitigate related risks. The primary purpose is to detect and investigate unusual financial activity by monitoring moderately to highly complex account activity and ensuring compliance with regulatory, operational policies, and KYC procedures.

As an AML Analyst, you will research and analyze various data sources and provide written summaries of recommendations and conclusions related to the identification of suspicious or unusual financial activity and / or review client files for KYC procedures. You should be able to exercise discretion and judgment, work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate with teammates as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor transactional activity to assess potential suspicious activity.
• Verify client identities to understand the nature and purpose of relationships for KYC procedures.
• Interpret and implement client-operating policies regarding financial data.
• Identify data anomalies and red flags for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and sanctions violations; escalate for second-level review.
• Adhere to timeframes and procedures to ensure on-time, accurate work.
• Submit written work for AMLRS quality control review, incorporate feedback, and apply learnings going forward.
• Meet production and quality standards for completing assignments.
• Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
