Overview

Responsibilities

Sourcing and contracting for indirect procurement in the Penang plant.
Lead the sourcing process in Penang plant for all indirect procurement commodities.
Develop local suppliers and drive supplier base consolidation.
Drive process and efficiency improvements in the Penang plant.
Stakeholder management; indirect procurement process owner in Penang plant.
Coordinate with regional commodity managers and report to the sub-regional procurement manager regarding process, strategy and key spending.

Qualifications

Fluency in Mandarin (speaking, reading, writing) to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in indirect procurement; experience in a manufacturing company is a must.

Experience in at least 2 commodities including MRO, Facility, Automation line, HR services.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Strong customer orientation and candid attitude.

Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task.

Ability to work in a matrix environment and independently as an indirect procurement representative.

Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).

Fluent English at negotiation level.
