Senior Automation Test Engineer

Primary Objectives

To develop and implement Test Automation Frameworks for applications and systems across the bank.

To manage automation testing activities to improve testing efficiency and reduce manual testing cost.

Provide advice to ensure the automated applications meets internal customer requirements and current standards are in place..

Key Responsibilities

Liaise with testing team and business analyst to understand the requirements and expectations for the applications / systems to be automated.

Perform the feasibility study for the new automation requirements and prepare the feasibility study report comprehensively. Provide justifications to the management to make sure time saved in test execution is significant.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web-based, client-based and mobile-based applications.

Assist in preparing the test data used for Automation testing.

Enhance and maintain hybrid-driven test automation framework developed using following technology

Conduct regression testing to ensure the stability and functionality of software applications.

Provide the test results and test report on regular basis to keep project stakeholders well aware of the test progress and mitigate any testing risk as early as possible.

Maintain and update test artefacts (new and existing) into a central repository so that it can be re-used by other SFG / SBG in the future.

Guide and mentor more junior team member by having ocassional knowledge sharing session in order to increase the team technical competencies and product knowledge.

Provide assistance with related tasks, such as manual testing, as well as projects and other duties as assigned, as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field.

Minimum 6 + years of experience as an Automation Tester.

Experience with functional and automation testing for both web applications and back-end services.

Strong programming skills in VB script, Java, with the ability to write efficient, clean, and maintainable code.

Familiarity with Selenium and UFT One.

Proficiency in XPath and able to utilize it to locate and interact with elements in web applications.

Preferably with working experience in banking industry.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

ISTQB CTFL certification is mandatory, CTAL-TAE is a plus.

Job Type : Contract

Contract length : 12 months

Pay : RM4, RM12,354.20 per month
