Assist in the preparation of tender documentation, evaluation of bids, and recommendation for award of contract.
Administer contract throughout project lifecycle, including issuance of letters of award, contract execution, and compliance monitoring.
Evaluate, negotiate and process variation orders, claims and contractual disputes in a timely and accurate manner.
Prepare cost report, cash flow projections and financial summaries for management review.
Monitor project budgets, track expenditures and highlight potential overruns with recommended mitigation action.
Review and verify interim payment claim, final accounts and subcontractor certifications.
Liaise and coordinate with consultants, contractors and project team to resolve contractual and cost related issues.
Provide commercial input to support value engineering intuitive and procurement strategies.
Support management in contract negotiations and preparation of management report.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with at least (4) years of experience in a senior role.
Proficiency in quantity take-off software and cost estimation tools.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Proficient in project management and cost control software.
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Required language(s) : English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
