As our experienced Azure Cloud Engineer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and security of our Azure cloud infrastructure. Here you’ll be deploying, managing, and maintaining Azure services to support the organisation's operational needs.
The Cloud Operations Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement automation, troubleshoot issues, and optimise cloud resources, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our IT operations. This position plays a critical role in enabling the organisation to leverage cloud technologies for innovation and growth.
Responsibilities
- Deployment and Configuration : Deploy and configure Azure services to meet the organization\'s requirements, ensuring scalability and reliability
- Monitoring and Maintenance : Continuously monitor the performance and health of Azure resources, addressing any issues that arise promptly
- Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to Azure services, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption
- Automation : Implement automation scripts and tools to streamline operations, reduce manual intervention, and improve efficiency
- Security and Compliance : Ensure that Azure environments adhere to security policies and compliance standards, implementing best practices for data protection and access control
- Cost Management : Monitor and optimize cloud costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising performance
About you
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cloud Operations, with a strong focus on Microsoft AzureRelevant Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator Associate) are highly desirableExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailFluency in English – excellent verbal and written communicationExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate concepts and ideas clearly to stakeholders at all levelsFlexibility and adaptability to meet deadlines and work in a growing teamYour technical capability
Proficiency in Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service, Fabric, Storage and Azure Networking, and SecurityExperience with automation tools such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, and ARM templatesExperience with version control systems and CI / CD processesWhy NEXTDC
