Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement national sales strategies aligned with the company's global direction and local market dynamics.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
Sales Performance Management
Set and monitor KPIs, targets, and forecasts for the national sales team and dealer network.Drive the achievement of volume, profitability, and market penetration goals.Dealer Network Management
Expand and optimize the dealer network in line with brand and customer experience standards.Support dealers in achieving performance targets through training, marketing support, and operational excellence.Team Development & Leadership
Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing sales team.Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and continuous improvement.Customer & Market Insights
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions.Collaborate with marketing to ensure brand alignment and effective product positioning.Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with aftersales, marketing, finance, and product teams to ensure end-to-end business alignment.Liaise with regional and HQ teams on reporting, planning, and strategic initiatives.Key Requirements
Proven experience (10+ years) in automotive sales leadership, preferably with a multinational or top-tier automotive brand.Strong track record in developing and executing successful sales strategies.Excellent knowledge of the Malaysian automotive market and regulatory landscape.Experience managing dealer networks and large sales teams.Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen.Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
