Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to assist in the quantity surveying functions for infrastructure projects such as railways, highways, and buildings. The successful candidate will support the QS team in cost estimation, measurement, documentation, and contract administration under the supervision of senior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing Bill of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates, and tender documentation.
- Support in obtaining and evaluating supplier / subcontractor quotations.
- Assist in preparing rate analysis for work items and materials.
- Conduct site measurements and support the preparation of interim valuations and progress claims.
- Maintain proper documentation of cost-related data and records.
- Assist in preparing payment certifications for subcontractors and suppliers.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams to support project coordination.
- Participate in site visits and verify physical progress under guidance.
- Provide support in contract administration tasks and report drafting.
- Support the QS team in tracking project costs and updating financial records.
- Assist in preparation of basic cost control reports and forecasts.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in quantity surveying or construction.Basic knowledge of measurement and QS procedures.Familiar with Microsoft Excel; exposure to QS software (e.g., CostX, Glodon) is a plus.Willingness to learn and take initiative.Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Good communication and teamwork skills.Able to work under guidance and meet deadlines.#J-18808-Ljbffr
