Overview
Job Summary : UCT is seeking a talented Sr Manager, Product & Configuration Engineering to join our team in Penang, Malaysia. The person in this role will lead the Asia team of Product and Configuration Engineers in the field of gas delivery and system integration. Your global team will manage onboarding of new BTP (Build To Print) documentation, tool refurbish customers / products, support quotation, make / buy decisions, process supplier requests for deviations, review and release of product documentation of the BTP products manufactured at UCT sites. Activities involve coordinating customer changes & related communications within UCT functional groups. You are also responsible for generation and implementation of engineering standards, process and methods and ensure consistency of technical documentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures that specific project and program objectives are defined for areas of responsibility, and that necessary preliminary activities (e.g., determination of outcomes, milestones, viability studies, and resource planning, among others) are completed to allow for effectiveness and focus during later stages of completion for all BTP and refurbish products.
- Ensures that all projects and programs assigned are completed in accordance with predetermined requirements, with specific attention to product / process specifications, project / program costs, resource utilization, and timeliness for completion.
- Ensures that all phases of project, program and / or process development are documented and that information required in other functional areas is reported, disseminated, or transferred, as appropriate.
- Ensures compliance with company policies including (but not limited to) engineering / lab notebooks, patents, confidentiality, ISO, safety and others as required.
- Ensures that the utilization of all material and financial resources is carried out in an effective manner.
- Effectively assigns work to subordinate staff, providing for professional development in addition to maximum productivity for the area.
- Coordinate technical support and assist in resolution of manufacturing problems as required
- Works with sales to help generate documentation and support new product feasibility study and quotation.
- Manages all technical communication on customer problems and works with quality team to lead RCCA / CAPA activity.
- Effectively utilizes computing resources for optimization of BOM review and release activities and timelines.
- Set, measure, monitor and generate productivity reports and KPI’s
- Responsible for departmental budgets and spending requirements.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

BS level degree in an appropriate technical discipline, or equivalent.Experience Requirement
Work Experience :
10+ years of experience in Engineering andExperience / expertise in area of gas delivery system architecture and components highly preferredExperience with refurbish tools / field service is desirableManagement Experience
