Senior Manager, Scheduling (Relocate to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)
As a Senior Manager, you will lead and oversee the development, management, and continual improvement of the flight schedules across multiple airlines within the Group. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, operationally robust, and commercially optimal schedules that maximize profitability while ensuring compliance with all operational constraints and regulatory requirements. You will drive the performance of the Scheduling team, ensuring schedules are strategically aligned with network plans, operational capabilities, and commercial objectives. This role also encompasses the accurate and timely publication of schedules across all platforms, including reservation systems and customer-facing channels, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service delivery.

Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Schedule Performance Management : Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Scheduling team across group airlines, setting clear performance standards and KPIs to deliver best-in-class schedule outcomes.
Schedule Development & Optimization : Oversee the design of short-term, seasonal, and long-term schedules that balance profitability, operational feasibility, and strategic growth initiatives across all airlines in the Group.
Budget & Capacity Planning Alignment : Coordinate the scheduling input for annual budget processes, ensuring alignment with fleet plans, commercial targets, and cost optimization objectives.
Slots Strategy & Portfolio Management : Maximize the value of airport slot portfolios across key hubs and focus airports, working proactively on slot acquisition, retention, optimization, and utilization.
Inventory Optimization & Revenue Maximization : Collaborate closely with Revenue Management to align schedule design with inventory strategies, identifying opportunities for peak revenue capture and market share growth.
Innovation & Scheduling Efficiency Initiatives : Drive continuous improvement by introducing tools, analytics, and process enhancements that support schedule robustness, operational efficiency, and strategic agility.
Operational Feasibility & Cross-Functional Coordination : Partner with Operations, Network Planning, Commercial, Ground Handling, and Airports teams to ensure all schedules are operationally executable and contribute to excellent on-time performance.
Stakeholder Alignment & Strategic Projects : Act as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including airports, regulatory bodies, and joint ventures, to support strategic initiatives, network expansions, and critical projects.
Qualifications
Experienced Scheduling Leader : 8–10 years of progressive experience in airline scheduling, including management experience. Proven track record designing, implementing, and managing complex schedules balancing commercial priorities with operational realities.
Strategic and Visionary Thinker : 2+ years in senior scheduling leadership or head-level roles with understanding of network strategy, fleet planning impacts, slot management, and the broader commercial drivers behind scheduling decisions.
Ethical, Transparent, and Integrity-Driven : Upholds high standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.
Decisive Problem Solver : Strong critical thinking, judgment, and solution-oriented mindset for complex scheduling challenges.
