Job Overview We are looking for a senior digital leader to be based in either Malaysia, Vietnam or the UK who can provide both strategic technical excellence and commercial impact within Grok’s Global Marketing solution line. As the Associate Director, Digital Performance & Growth, you’ll oversee the technical integrity, innovation, and scalability of Grok’s Paid Digital Marketing services as well as lead business development opportunities and growth.
This is a high-impact, hands-on Paid Digital leadership role where you\'ll manage a team of digital specialists and partner closely with senior stakeholders, to ensure Grok’s international student recruitment campaigns remain best-in-class across a growing portfolio of global institutions.
Key Responsibilities
Paid Digital Strategy, Delivery & Performance
Direct industry-leading paid digital marketing strategy & execution across 40+ global markets (outside of China). Markets include : Southeast Asia, South Asia, East Asia, Africa, Middle East, Europe & The Americas.
Lead paid digital marketing services and performance reporting to ensure the highest technical standards, including campaign execution, optimisation, quality assurance, data accuracy, analytics, and tagging - across both core media channels and third parties.
Strengthen digital platform expertise (ie Meta, Google, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, WhatsApp, Line, Zalo and other niche platforms) and Third Party partnerships in specific markets. Oversee the effective use of tools like Funnel, Looker Studio, Zoho, Zapier, Superchat, Unbounce, Canva, and more.
Champion a culture of innovation as well as nurture relationships with core media owners to stay ahead of industry trends and emerging products.
Stakeholder Relationships & Team Development
Embed a high-performance, growth-oriented culture reflecting Grok’s values.
Line manage senior digital marketing leads across key regions / markets, driving capability building, knowledge sharing, and individual development plans.
Support the recruitment of new digital marketing experts and professionally develop / mentor in line with key performance indicators for the department.
Provide strategic collaboration and relationship development to a wide range of senior stakeholders and institutional partners, to demonstrate expertise, and strengthen the perception of the solution line in terms of delivery and success.
Provide thought leadership, regional learnings, market specific data insights & trends, and client case studies for knowledge sharing and promotional purposes.
Commercial Leadership & Sales Enablement
Co-own the Solution Line’s annual revenue and profitability target.
Proactively lead strategic sales conversations, both internally and externally with senior stakeholders. Deliver compelling pitches, proposals and pricing for bespoke international student recruitment campaigns.
Collaborate with a wide range of senior stakeholders to identify new growth opportunities and evolve Grok’s Paid Digital Marketing offering and impact.
Experience & Profile
10+ years’ experience in Paid Digital Marketing within the international student recruitment landscape.
Proven track record in digital leadership within an agency or the marketing department of a higher education institution or organisation.
Expertise in cross-platform paid media execution and optimisation, with a strong grasp of web analytics, CRM integrations, tagging structures, attribution modelling, and data storytelling. Experience leading and scaling senior digital teams across regions.
Demonstrable experience in business development, pricing strategies, and revenue accountability.
A collaborative, entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to balance creativity, rigour, and results.
