Ansell is looking for a Assoc Manager, HR (People Sustainability & Industrial Relations) to join our team in Melaka!

In this position you will play a vital role in supporting Ansell’s social governance (CSR) initiatives, to build and manage the global People Sustainability programs (ILO labor standards, human rights, modern slavery etc). Additionally, to oversee and support the Operational IR / ER function.

What your role will be?

  • Responsible to deliver briefing to relevant stakeholder deemed necessary on matters related to social governance / policies / directives.
  • Collaborate and support the Plant HR teams, Operations and other internal stakeholders, guiding and ensuring Plant is fully compliance with labor standards for all categories including direct suppliers including manpower agencies.
  • Timely and accurate reporting of KPIs / people indicators with support of business details.
  • Support and drive periodic social assessment onsite while liaising with relevant stakeholders while keeping up-to-date reporting against stipulated standards. And follow-up to ensure all corrective actions are addressed timely following timelines.
  • Responsible to manage / develop reporting systems to add efficiency and effectiveness to the tracking of KPIs and initiate a seamless approach.
  • Support to lead projects, present internally for approval or continuous improvement and escalate risks when required.
  • Overseeing the Foreign Worker Management Process / Practice where applicable including accommodation management.
  • IR / ER Governance

  • Responsible to centralized ER programs while partnering with relevant Plant leads e.g Employee Wellbeing Programs, HR Townhall, HR Corner.
  • Investigate and report matters that’s raised thru employee committee or union and others while standardizing the solution approach.
  • Oversee and report matters with regards to labor disputes, disciplinary matters partnering with Plant HR. (e.g domestic inquiry)
  • Perform periodic review of policies / processes while aiming for standardization.
  • Present and participate CBA negotiation (as needed).
  • Liaising with government authority relation to labor concern (if needed).
  • Other duties as and when assigned.
  • What will you bring to Ansell?

  • Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years hands-on experience in driving the people aspects of social governance and IR / ER leads with proven track record.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills : ability to influence and communicate with internal, initiate proactive collaboration for win win outcome and provide seamless reporting.
  • Experience using Smartsheet, Power BI or other dashboards is an added advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards, labour regulations and practices.
