We're Hiring : Assistant Vice President - Internal Audit

Location : MTDC HQ, Menara Yayasan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur

Division : Internal Audit Department

Key Responsibilities :

Audit Planning & Execution

Lead planning and scoping of audit assignments, including risk assessments and audit program development.

Conduct interviews, document reviews, and detailed testing to evaluate internal controls.

Identify control weaknesses, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Reporting & Recommendations

Prepare comprehensive audit reports with findings, implications, and actionable recommendations.

Present findings to management and support development of corrective action plans.

Follow up on implementation of recommendations.

Risk Management & Compliance

Assess compliance with company policies, regulations, and laws.

Evaluate the organisation's risk management framework.

Monitor emerging risks and industry trends to enhance audit practices.

Team Leadership & Development

Provide guidance across departments.

Review working papers to ensure quality and compliance with audit standards.

Continuous Improvement

Recommend improvements to audit methodologies, processes, and tools.

Support special projects, fraud investigations, and ad-hoc reviews.

What We're Looking For :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent) preferred.

5–7 years of audit experience (internal / external), with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior role.

Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO), risk assessment, and audit methodologies.

Familiarity with regulations, corporate governance, and industry best practices.

Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., ACL, IDEA, Power BI) is an advantage.
