ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a Risk Specialist, in Compliance, your role will be to oversee risk functions across the organization and involve close collaboration with stakeholders across all departments.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Operational Risk Management Policy, as well as other relevant risk frameworks including the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Policy and Business Continuity Management Policy.
- Prepare comprehensive operational risk reports such as Loss Event Data (LED), Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Scenario Analysis, and generate ERM dashboards for senior management, the Board of Directors, and regulatory authorities including Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).
- Maintain enterprise-wide risk data, including the risk register, KRIs, and loss events data, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in line with IME and BNM requirements.
- Provide expert risk advisory services to internal stakeholders, including the facilitation of training programs related to risk management.
- Investigate, monitor, and report operational risk incidents in compliance with both regulatory expectations and internal standards.
- Oversee and ensure the effectiveness of risk management programs, promoting a consistent approach to risk identification, assessment, and monitoring in alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, auditors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate risk assessments, reviews, and discussions.
- Conduct compnay-wide risk assessments and gap analyses to identify areas for improvement.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls related to operational risk and recommend enhancement where necessary.
- Perform additional risk management tasks as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.Demonstrated expertise in implementing and managing risk control measures, risk monitoring, and assessment processes.Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently.Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.Capable of conducting training sessions effectively.PERKS & BENEFITS
