About the Role We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented
Business Development Executive Agriculture
to drive sales and market penetration of agrochemical products, including crop protection and plant nutrition solutions. The role combines technical agronomy knowledge with commercial acumen to provide value-driven solutions to farmers, dealers, and distributors.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Responsibilities : Drive sales growth by promoting agrochemical products (e.g., herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, bio-stimulants). Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, customers and farmers in the agriculture value chain. Identify new business opportunities and assist in expanding market coverage. Execute marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities in collaboration with the Commercial Manager.
Technical Responsibilities : Provide technical guidance and support to farmers, including product recommendations, crop advisory, and demonstration plots. Conduct field visits to monitor product performance and gather feedback. Deliver product training and technical presentations to dealers, growers, and internal teams. Assist in addressing product complaints or performance issues through field trials or investigations.
Reporting & Administration : Prepare weekly and monthly customer feedback reports, field activity updates, and market intelligence summaries. Monitor competitor activity and report on market trends. Maintain proper documentation related to demos, trials, events, and promotional activities.
About You
Diploma / bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, or a related field.
1 – 3 years (fresh graduates with strong agricultural knowledge may also be considered).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Technical knowledge of crop protection and plant nutrition
Good presentation and problem-solving abilities
Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory
Familiarity with local crops, pests, diseases, and farming practice
Familiarity with Paddy, Oil Palm, Durian and other cash crops
Fluency in local languages / dialects
