About the role

As the Power Plant Project Manager at MITIME CONSTRUCTION MALAYSIA SDN BHD, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of power plant construction projects. This is a full-time position based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. You will play a vital role in ensuring that these complex projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Coordinating and managing cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless project execution
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or challenges that arise, and implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Providing regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, milestones, and key performance indicators
  • Collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and other project stakeholders to address their concerns and maintain strong relationships

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a strong track record of successfully delivering power plant construction projects
  • Demonstrated expertise in project planning, scheduling, resource management, and risk mitigation
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to quickly identify and address issues as they arise
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field
