Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain database systems to ensure high availability and performance.
- Develop, implement, and monitor security protocols to safeguard database integrity.
- Oversee database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize database architecture and performance.
- Conduct regular audits and performance tuning of databases.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate best practices into database management.
- Prepare and present reports on database performance and improvements to stakeholders.
The Successful Applicant
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Expertise in database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.A Database Administrator coming from Majority Microsoft environment is mandatoryStrong knowledge of database security protocols and disaster recovery planning.Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Familiarity with the Energy & Natural Resources industry is an advantage.What’s on Offer
