Logistics Specialist, KUL - Logistics

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

We’re looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our expanding team. Logistics Specialists review Data Center inventory, in-bound shipments, and ongoing demand to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained in all locations to support build and repair activities.

The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for :

• Completing manual tasks, such as assembling, addressing and arranging for the shipment of materials, handling incoming shipments, unpack boxes and verify contents
• Load and unload large equipment utilizing pallet jacks
• Maintain accountability of in-stock components as well as receive and process inbound shipments
• Assist with ongoing requests to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained and distributed to all locations to support build and repair activities
• Working with the Logistics Manager, create plans to optimize the flow and delivery of parts through their lifecycle; tracking inventory locations and movement
• Working closely with Datacenter Operations Technicians to fulfill parts and equipment deliveries quickly and accurately
• Working with Procurement teams to ensure that inbound equipment orders are complete and delivered to appropriate Data Center Locations
• Regular and ongoing communications with vendors to resolve issues and help them understand our business requirements necessitates a high-level communicator
• Support an environment that operates 24 / 7
• Receive parts, maintain inventory, and check-out parts as needed to Data Center Technicians and Engineers
• Load and unload shipments and transport parts, racks, and equipment between different locations, including localized driving of a variety of transportation vehicles
• Handle sensitive / classified client materials
• Work with and / or around moving mechanical parts
