Primary Teacher – Maternity Cover (4 Months) – January 2026 Start

Purpose of Role : We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher for a temporary maternity cover role (4 months). The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging lessons, uphold high academic and pastoral standards, and contribute positively to our learning community.

    Primary Teacher – Key Responsibilities

    Teaching And Learning

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging, and differentiated lessons in line with the Cambridge Primary curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Maintain an organised and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources, including technology, to meet the needs of all learners.

    • Classroom Management And Student Wellbeing

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports student learning and personal development.
  • Implement effective behaviour management in line with school policies.
  • Support the academic and emotional wellbeing of students under your care.

    • Professional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with colleagues in planning and sharing best practices.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, maintaining open and supportive dialogue.
  • Participate in school events, activities, and meetings as required.
  • Uphold the values, ethos, and policies of the school at all times

    • Line management

    The Primary Teacher will report to the KS1 Phase Lead / Head of Primary .

    Qualifications And Experience

    Education : Bachelor’s degree in Teaching / Education or any other relevant fields. (e.g. PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).

    Experience And Skills

  • Experience teaching the Cambridge Primary curriculum is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and effective communication skills.
  • A growth mindset, flexibility, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Ability to inspire and challenge learners of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Able to commence in January 2026.
