Senior Geophysicist
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Identify all of the remaining potential prospects from the asset's development campaign.
- Perform structural and stratigraphic 3D and 2D seismic interpretation and mapping, velocity modeling for depth conversion, quantitative / qualitative seismic attribute analyses, fluid substitution, pore pressure prediction, and rock physics techniques to optimize and high-grade near-field exploration, appraisal, and infill development opportunities.
- Conduct prospect evaluation and ranking using geological and geophysical data.
- Execute thorough well targeting, data acquisition plans, and all related programs, as well as create development well proposals and post-drill evaluations.
- Support well drilling operations with geophysics. Using seismic data, plan and optimize well paths.
- Identify and quantify geophysical / subsurface uncertainties that affect project technical and commercial robustness.
- Provide information to management in order to compile regular progress reports, project status updates, and presentations to Senior Management, partners, and government agencies.
- Support, recommend, and participate in the planning of internal and external work plans, as well as the development of the department's yearly budget.
Requirements
University Degree or higher in the related field10 years of Geophysics experience with knowledge of Geology and Subsurface.Knowledge of Geophysics and associated subjects.Capable of overseeing the integration of subsurface, wells, surface, and operating disciplines.Able to communicate, internally and externally, with a diverse range of stakeholders from various disciplines.Applicants of any nationality are welcome to apply.#J-18808-Ljbffr
