Penerangan pekerjaanThe Role : Engineer II, New Product Introduction Engineering We are seeking a skilled and experienced New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to join our team in Kulim. In this pivotal role, you will help shape product design and manufacturing processes to enable efficient, high-quality production. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in manufacturability, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and stage gate commitments. As an NPI Engineer, you will leverage your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to influence product design teams, optimize process efficiency, and ensure seamless product transitions from development to full-scale manufacturing. Success in this role requires strong collaboration, strategic influence, and excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively across the organization. Collaborate across functions using strong interpersonal and influencing skills to align on goals and drive execution. Partner closely with the Product Development team to implement solutions that meet design, manufacturing, and stage gate requirements, with a consistent focus on safety and quality. Foster a collaborative and learning-oriented culture within the team, actively sharing knowledge and supporting internal customers. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment. Strong technical skills to identify and resolve process gaps, including areas such as welding, fabrication, physical testing, and electro-mechanical design. Experience actively pulling products into manufacturing while ensuring process and quality capability. Ability to create data-driven New Product Introduction (NPI) plans to support long-term portfolio success. Skilled in managing tasks to meet stage gate milestones and other key commitments. Experience with structured development processes such as stage gate methodologies (e.g., Accolade). Proven ability to orchestrate and prioritize multiple activities to achieve divisional goals. Hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiatives. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and contribute meaningfully. Willingness to learn from experienced colleagues and share knowledge and ideas. Communication Skills : Bi-lingual proficiency with strong English verbal and written communication. Excellent documentation and technical writing skills. Experience working in a global organization, supporting intercompany goals and cross-regional collaboration. Experience using SAP ERP, specifically for managing Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and related documentation. Self-motivated and proactive team player with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate, influence, and collaborate with personnel across all levels of the organization. - Collaborative interaction with both R&D and Operations team members . Work with the team to define goals and tasks. Recognizes teammates as they perform well and try to help those that are struggling .
