We are hiring Intermediate and Senior Java Developers to join the engineering team of a multinational technology company based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. In this role, you will help design, build, and optimize high-performance backend systems and distributed services that support enterprise-grade applications across the region. Senior-level candidates will also contribute to architectural decisions, technical strategy, and mentoring within the team.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable Java-based applications and microservices
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices
  • Work closely with product, QA, and infrastructure teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Participate in end-to-end SDLC including design, development, testing, deployment, and optimization
  • Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and scalability issues in distributed systems
  • Stay current with modern Java ecosystem tools, frameworks, and patterns
  • (Senior role only) Lead technical decisions, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers

What we are looking for

  • Intermediate : 3–5 years Java development experience
  • Senior : 5+ years with experience delivering full-cycle production systems
  • Strong fundamentals in core Java (multithreading, JVM memory model, design patterns, collections, concurrency)
  • Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot / Spring Cloud and ORM frameworks (MyBatis / Hibernate)
  • Proficiency with relational databases (MySQL / Oracle) and SQL performance optimization
  • Experience with Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar middleware in high‑concurrency workloads
  • Familiarity with distributed architectures, microservices, and scalable backend design
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, CI / CD, and cloud platforms is an advantage
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
