Responsibilities:
1. Inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards.
2. Protect the employees, customers and the environment.
3. Identify potentially hazardous biological, chemical and radiological materials and collect samples of them for analysis.
4. Recommend changes to protect workers, and educate employees on how to prevent health problems through the use of safety training programs
5. They also investigate accidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future.
Qualification and/or experience required:
1. At least bachelor's degree in occupational health, safety, or a related scientific field, such as biology, chemistry or engineering
2. Master's degree in health physics, industrial hygiene or a related subject is a plus.
