Manager – Product Competence (B. Braun Group) – Join us as a key leader overseeing engineering projects focused on low‑cost automation and new manufacturing technologies within our product competence domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure successful identification, execution and delivery of engineering projects involving low‑cost automation and new manufacturing technologies within the scope of accountability. Work closely with the Head of Department to set up an organizational structure within BMI, addressing core manufacturing processes and the consequences for related technical training.
- Provide disciplinary and technical leadership of the area according to the Corporate Rules of Governance. Identify, define and accomplish projects in core production processes in cooperation with internal and external suppliers.
- Guide nominated technical experts from the organization in the global Corporate Knowledge Networks (CKN) and related sub‑CKN groups.
- Develop suitable strategies to govern core processes within the regional area of responsibility defined for the Technology Hub BMI in relation to the Operating Model Medical (OMM).
- Drive collaboration between process development and R&D to promote simultaneous engineering of product and process development, generating manufacturable new products in accordance with the Center of Excellence (CoE) and division needs.
- Conduct early evaluations of manufacturing technology suppliers in the APAC region to enhance B. Braun capabilities, providing training concepts and recommendations for skilled workers to be implemented by a technical training centre.
Qualifications
BSc / MSc / PhD in Material Science, Material Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry or Biochemistry; prior experience in a plastic / material background.Experience and knowledge of plastic polymer properties and behaviour, especially Polyurethane.Ability to conduct and run proof‑of‑concept tests related to material change.Capability to provide guidance and support to the R&D team on material‑related topics.Support the lifecycle team related to material change.What We Offer
