Overview
HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER WITH VALID GREEN BOOK (PART TIME / FULL TIME)
Key responsibilities include acting as secretary for HSE committee meetings, maintaining records and reports, developing HSE legal registers, liaising with regulatory bodies, monitoring ISO standard implementation, handling accident and incident reporting, developing and maintaining HSE documentation and programs, ensuring COVID-19 SOPs are followed, and promoting HSE awareness across the organization. The role requires ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and contributing to a safe and healthy work environment.
Responsibilities
- Act as secretary for HSE committee meetings and prepare minutes of meetings and monthly reports to Management
- Develop HSE Legal Register to address all HSE legal requirements applicable at workplace & site
- Liaise with authorities / regulatory bodies (DOSH, DOE, Bomba, etc.) on matters pertaining to HSE to ensure compliance with mandatory regulations
- Monitor the implementation of ISO standards at office & site and advise on improvement actions
- Submit notification of accidents and incident reports within 24 hours and prepare full investigation reports
- Advise in developing and maintaining Context of Organization documents (RBT), Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC), Environmental Aspect and Impact Register (EAIR)
- Execute the development, implementation & maintenance of QSHE documentation and ERT program
- Ensure COVID-19 SOP is followed and advise on COVID-19 issues (e.g., contact tracing, home quarantine order, swab tests, etc.)
- Notify state JKKP (DOSH) in case of fatality and prepare full report within one month after the accident / incident
- Execute ISO audits and site inspections in compliance with schedule and regulations
- Ensure the validity of CIDB green card for all project personnel and maintain records
- Continuously promote awareness on HSE to all levels of employees through meetings, briefings, training, and induction
- Other tasks & projects as assigned from time to time
Job requirements
At least a diploma, degree in Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Engineering or related fieldMinimum 3 years’ experience in a related position / industryMust be a registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH / NIOSH with valid Green BookCompetent Person in Scheduled Waste ManagementWorking knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards in the construction industryGood knowledge of legal requirements and good environmental, safety and health practicesWilling to travel when requiredGood report preparation, communication, and interpersonal skills with internal and external partiesSelf-motivated, able to work with minimum supervisionHiring details
