Overview
As a manager, you will lead ITGC and data analytics engagements from planning through execution, working closely with clients and engagement teams. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality insights, managing and developing your team, and driving innovation in the use of analytics in audit. This role offers the platform to make a real impact—building trusted client relationships, shaping best practices, and contributing to the firm’s growth in IT audit and data analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee multiple IT audit engagements from planning through to reporting, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline
- Develop IT audit strategies that align with organizational risk priorities and client objectives, including IT General Controls (ITGC), and application controls
- Provide expert guidance on IT audit methodologies, data analytics, and emerging technology risks to both audit teams and clients
- Manage client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for IT audit matters, and drive discussions on control improvements and risk mitigation
- Review and approve IT audit workpapers, findings, and reports, ensuring high quality and compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements
- Mentor, coach, and develop IT audit staff, fostering technical skills, professional growth, and team collaboration
- Identify opportunities to enhance IT audit processes through automation, data analytics, and innovative tools
- Monitor changes in the regulatory and technology landscape to ensure IT audit practices remain current and effective
- Support business development initiatives by contributing to proposals, presentations, and client pitches
Education and professional skills / knowledge
A recognised degree in Accounting / Finance, Information System, Data Analytics or equivalent with at least a second-class upper gradeMinimum of five(5) years of relevant experience in IT Audit, internal audit, external audit, or data analytics, ideally gained in a professional practice environmentCISA certification is strongly preferredOther skills
