The Role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Environmental Executive to join our outdoor air quality deployment and data analysis initiatives. In this role, you’ll manage and support the end-to-end lifecycle of our environmental sensor networks from site selection and installation to data validation, interpretation, and reporting. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our air quality and microclimate data directly informs sustainability strategies, client solutions, and climate resilience planning.
This is a hands-on role that blends field coordination, environmental science, and data analytics to drive measurable impact.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the deployment of outdoor air quality and microclimate sensor networks across urban and campus environments.
- Ensure data integrity through regular calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of monitoring equipment.
- Proficiency using GIS and statistical tools
- Translate complex environmental datasets into clear, actionable insights for clients, project teams, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering, sustainability, and data science teams to integrate field data into broader climate resilience and carbon reduction strategies.
- Stay current with air quality regulations, monitoring best practices, and emerging environmental technologies.
- Contribute to project proposals, client presentations, and technical documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Geography, Civil / Environmental Engineering, or a related field2–5 years of professional experience in air quality monitoring, environmental data analysis, or a closely related field.Hands-on experience with environmental sensors, IoT devices, or field data collection systems.Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, Excel) and GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).Familiarity with air pollutants, emission sources, urban heat islands, and climate resilience concepts.Strong understanding of environmental data quality standards and QA / QC protocols.Excellent communication skills—able to explain technical findings to non-technical audiences.Organized, proactive, and comfortable working both in the field and in front of a computer.Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for site visits (as needed).Why Join Airscan?
