The System Engineer plays a critical role in designing and managing the organization’s IT systems, networks, and infrastructure. This individual provides technical expertise, leads large-scale projects, and ensures the security, reliability, and efficiency of all systems.

Main Accountabilities

  • System Design and Implementation : Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure, leading large-scale projects and evaluating hardware and software.
  • System Administration and Support : Monitor system performance, administer servers, troubleshoot issues, and manage disaster recovery.
  • Security and Compliance : Implement security measures, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization : Ensure optimal system performance, conduct capacity planning, and implement automation tools.
  • Collaboration and Team Leadership : Mentor staff, collaborate with departments, and contribute to strategic IT decisions.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Management : Manage vendor relationships, ensure timely procurement, and communicate technical requirements to stakeholders.
  • Documentation and Reporting : Maintain detailed documentation and generate reports on system performance, security, and projects.
  • Project Management : Lead system upgrades and migrations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, while managing risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree : in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience : in system engineering, IT infrastructure, or related areas.
  • Expertise in system administration : including Windows / Linux servers, network management, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies : (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages : (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) and automation tools.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols : security principles, and disaster recovery solutions.

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Relevant certifications : such as Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
  • Experience with DevOps practices : CI / CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC).
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills : with the ability to solve complex technical issues.
  • Experience with storage solutions : (SAN / NAS), database management, and backup systems.

    • Working Conditions :

  • Full-time position.
  • On-call availability : for system emergencies.
  • Potential for after-hours work : during system maintenance or outages.
