Your key Responsibilities :

  • Strategic Sourcing : Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers and factories in China that align with our standards for premium quality and ethical manufacturing.
  • Supplier Relationship Management : Develop and maintain strong, long-term partnerships with key factory contacts. Become their trusted point of contact.
  • Cost Negotiation : Drive aggressive cost negotiations to achieve the best possible pricing without compromising on quality, ensuring our offerings remain competitive and profitable.
  • Quality Assurance : Work closely with suppliers to define quality standards, specifications, and inspection protocols. Manage the pre-production sample approval process.
  • Market Intelligence : Continuously research new materials, manufacturing techniques, and product trends within the Chinese market to bring innovative ideas to our clients.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with our internal design, sales, and logistics teams to ensure alignment on timelines, budgets, and client expectations.

Hopefully, you would be someone who has :

  • Experience : 0-2 years of experience in a sourcing, procurement, or buying role, with a demonstrable focus on manufacturing in China.
  • Relationship Builder : Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to build trust and rapport with suppliers. Existing factory relationships are a significant advantage.
  • Negotiation Expert : A skilled negotiator with a track record of achieving significant cost savings while maintaining strong supplier partnerships.
  • Quality-Obsessed : You have a keen eye for detail and quality, understanding what makes a product feel "premium."
  • Linguistic Skills : Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is essential for effective communication with suppliers. Proficiency in English is required for internal communication.
  • Enthusiasm for Travelling : Ability to travel to China several times a year for factory visits, trade shows, and supplier meetings.
